9.4. Calendars Widgets in iOS16

Make the most out of your Home Screen and Lock Screen with handy widgets from Calendars.

Widgets for Home Screen are presented in seven options and contain numerous actions to provide quick access to your events, tasks, and conference calls.

To add a Calendars widget on Home Screen, follow these steps:

  • Long tap any empty space on your Home screen to enter the jiggle mode.
  • Tap + at the top left
  • Find Calendars on the list
  • Select the preferable widget

To remove a widget, enter the jiggle mode by a long tap on any empty space on your Home Screen and tap the minus sign at the top left of the widget.

Create a widget stack

Widget stacks allow you to make multiple similarly-sized widgets overlay each other so that they occupy the same area of your home screen. For example, you can stack two small Calendars widgets and swap between them instead of adding a large one.

To create a widget stack, drag and drop one widget into another similarly sized one. That’s it!

Manage widget stacks

Long-tap a widget stack you want to customize and select Edit Stack from the pop-up. Once in Edit mode, you can:

  1. Toggle-off and -on the Smart Rotate option, Smart Rotate automatically decides what widget to show first.
  2. Rearrange the widgets in the list. To do it, tap and hold the widget in the stack and drag the item up or down.
  3. Delete a widget from the stack by tapping the Minus button at the top left of the widget.

To remove the whole stack, long-tap on the widget to enter the jiggle mode and tap the minus sign at the top left of the widget stack.

To add a Calendars Lock Screen widget, follow these instructions: Wake your iPhone from sleep, and hold down on the Lock Screen

  • Tap Customise.
