10.1. Connect PDF Expert to a web storage

You can connect PDF Expert 7 to cloud storage to always keep your files at hand.

PDF Expert works with Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, OneDrive, Office 365, Yandex Disk, Windows SMB and any other storage which supports the WebDAV/FTP/SFTP protocol connection.

Note: If you can't find the storage of your choice among available options, please check its support website. If the storage supports WebDAV/FTP/ SFTP/SMB protocols, you can configure the connection and access it in PDF Expert 7 using the supported protocol.

Some cloud storage services and network drives provide the possibility to connect via the WebDAV protocol:       

  • Mail.Ru — offers the WebDAV connection if you have a paid Mail.Ru subscription. To connect to this cloud storage, open PDF Expert and go to Settings > Connections > Add Connection > WebDAV. Add https://webdav.cloud.mail.ru in the URL field and fill in other details.
  • ownCloud — works with WebDAV. For more information, please visit the ownCloud Guide.
  • MagentaCLOUD — you can connect to the cloud storage with WebDAV. For more information, please visit the MagentaCLOUD Guide.

How to connect PDF Expert to cloud storage

On your iPad:

Please make sure your iPad is connected to the network and follow the steps below:

1. Tap Add Connection on the sidebar.

2. Select the cloud storage to sync and provide your credentials.

3. Tap Sign in.

Note: Your web storage account will be added to the Connections section of the sidebar.

On your iPhone:

Please make sure that your iPhone has access to the internet and follow these steps:

1. Tap Connections at the bottom and select Add Connection.

2. Select the cloud storage you want to add and provide your credentials.

3. Tap Sign in.                            

 Note: You can find the web storage you added in the Connections section at the bottom of the screen.

How to remove the connected cloud storage from PDF Expert

  • On your iPad, tap and hold on the account on the sidebar, and tap Remove.
  • On your iPhone, tap Connections at the bottom, tap the ... More near the needed account and select Delete.
