8.4. Split View

On your iPad with iOS 11 or later you can easily work with two apps at the same time. To use Split View mode, please:

  1. Open PDF Expert app.
  2. Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open Dock.
  3. On Dock, touch and hold the second app you want to open and drag it to the left or right side of the screen.

You can adjust Split View in following ways:

  • To give the apps equal space on the screen, drag the app divider to the center of the screen.
  • To turn a Split View into a Slide Over, swipe down from the top of the app.
  • To close Split View, drag the app divider over the app that you want to close.

Here are a few examples of Split View mode using:

  • Viewing two PDF files simultaneously as well as comparing the same file side by side by opening PDF Expert and Documents apps.
  • Moving PDF files to other apps using 'Drag and drop' option.

Kindly note, to use Split View ‘Allow Multiple Apps’ toggle should be turned on: go to Settings > General > Multitasking & Dock. Split View is available for iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation and later), iPad Air 2, or iPad mini 4.
