7.2. Edit images in PDFs

PDF Expert 7 allows you to replace or move existing images in a PDF file as well as add new ones. You can easily update a photo in your CV or add your company’s logo to a contract.

Please note: There is no possibility to change pictures that already exist in scanned documents. You can only add new images to such files.

Note: The feature to edit images is available as a part of PDF Expert 7 PRO pack. Yet, if you've previously bought PDF Expert 6 with the in-app purchase, you can edit images without a subscription.

How to edit an existing image in a PDF document:

  1. Open a file.
  2. On the top toolbar, select Edit PDF.
  3. Tap the image you wish to edit.
  4. Select the needed option in a pop-up menu. You can rotate, replace, crop, extract, or delete the image.
  5. To move or resize the image, tap and hold it.

Note: To undo the changes, tap on the toolbar. If you need to redo your edits, tap and hold and select Redo.

How to add a new image to a PDF file:

  1. Open a document.
  2. On the top toolbar, tap Edit PDF.
  3. Select Image.
  4. Tap where you want to insert an image.
  5. Choose the picture you want to add.
  6. You can drag & drop and resize the image.
  7. To edit the image, tap it and select the needed option in a pop-up menu.

How to save an image from a PDF file:

  1. Open a PDF document.
  2. Select Edit PDF on the top toolbar.
  3. Tap the image you want to save.
  4. In a pop-up menu, select Save.
