5.6. Events are displayed twice

To solve the issue of events being displayed twice, follow the article.

Why are events being duplicated?

There are two ways to add Account to Calendars:

  • Directly — Calendars Settings > + Add account button > Follow the onscreen instructions. You can add Google, Exchange, Outlook, or iCloud accounts.
  • Locally — Add the needed calendar to the local Calendars app first > Open Calendars by Reaadle > Settings > Local Calendars. Enable the display Local Calendars toggle and choose the accounts to display.

The issue you've faced with duplicated Events usually happens because this Event was added to a few different Accounts. And the same Account can be added to Calendars both directly and locally.

How to solve the issue?

  1. Check which Account the duplicated event belongs toby clicking it.
  2. If you want to keep this Account added twice and just hide it, please follow these steps: go to Calendars > Menu ( the horizontal lines button at the top right) > make sure that Account which duplicates is unticked.
  3. If you don't want this Account to be added twice to the app, please follow these steps: Open Calendars by Reaadle > Settings > Local Calendars > make sure to disable the Account duplicated in Local Calendars.
