  2. Reboot your device by simultaneously pressing and holding Home and Sleep buttons for 10 seconds.
  3. Sign in to your Apple ID again.
  4. Make sure there is enough free space on the device. Open the App Store app > Updates section > Purchased > PDF Expert > tap the Update button.

In-app purchases and upgrading PDF Expert to Pro

PDF Expert provides numerous tools and features which allow you to fill forms, annotate, merge, password-protect, sign PDFs, extract pages, edit outlines and much more. PDF Expert app also provides an additional in-app purchase which unlocks access to the Pro editing tools (e.g. the possibility to modify the existing text layer created by the author of the file). You can find more information about the in-app purchase in our article. To purchase the Pro tools, make sure restrictions are not enabled in iOS settings.

PDF Expert 4 does not open on iOS 11 device

PDF Expert 4  was removed from the App store three years ago and is not supported anymore; PDF Expert , which was designed from scratch, was released as a new app and a free PDF Expert 6 update has been released since then. With iOS 11, PDF Expert 4 as well as other 32-bit apps can't be opened. You can access your files located in PDF Expert 4 via iTunes if you connect your device to PC/Mac with a USB cable.
